The holidays are nearly here, and we’re wrapping up the best Christmas events and winter camps. Expect sparkling activities, festive fun, and plenty of seasonal magic to keep children happy and busy during the school break.

• 🎄🎭 🚂 🎅⛸️ Cascais Christmas Village at Parque Marechal Carmona is not to be missed for younger kids (see link for info and opening) and runs Nov 22^nd - Jan 4^th

• Cascais Christmas Parade departs from the Christmas village, past the Cidadela and ends in the Bay of Cascais from 17:00 - 18:00 on:

  • Nov 22,  23, 29, 30 | Dec 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 | Jan 3, 4

• 🎠 Cascais Christmas Market in Jardim Visconde da Luz and Bay of Cascais with carrousel

• Family Christmas Art Market of Wonders, with unique gifts and festive treats from local businesses on Dec 13^th 11:00 -18:00 at House of Wonders with:

  • Family workshops throughout the day

  • 3 Christmas choir performances at 12 (noon)

• 🎄🎅 🎠 🚂 Sintra Magica offering family friendly Christmas Market with train and carrousel and activities such as concerts, workshops, story time, meet Father Christmas. Located in front of the National Palace of Sintra from Dec 1^st to Jan 6^th

• ⛸️ 🚂 🎭 🎅 🎠 Era uma Vez Christmas immersive family experience Dec 6 - 20 at Jardim do Palacio de Marques de Pombal (Oeiras) - with music, workshops, theatres, face painting, ice skating, carrousel and train + meet Father Christmas

• ⛸️ Oeiras Parque has a ice skating rink here until Jan 4^th - opening hours:

  • Until Dec 16^th: weekdays 14:00 - 20:00 & weekends / national holidays 10:00 - 21:00

  • Dec 16th - Jan 4^th : everyday 10:00 - 21:00 excluding Dec 24^th & 31^st when closing time is 17:00. The rink will be closed on Dec 25^th & Jan 1^st

• VIPlant Gardening Centre in Oeiras has a lovely Christmas display, festive ornaments and plants as well as a cafe and play are for little ones

• Baby Jump is hosting a Christmas party at Quinta da Bicuda on December 18^th at 11:15 until 12:00 - suitable up to 3 years old
